The Mississippi State Department of Health has launched a new mobile app to give the public easier access to medical services and resources offered by the state.

The free MSDH Healthy App was designed to make public health services and essential information readily available on smartphones and mobile devices.

Resources include:

  • Real-time alerts for health and weather emergencies, disease outbreaks, and public health advisories
  • Appointment booking for health services and screenings
  • Find a Health Department location
  • Vital records and public records requests
  • Health resources and more

“Our new Healthy App was designed to make accessing our services easier by putting everything at your fingertips,” State Health Officer Dr. Dan Edney said. “It’s not just for the patients we serve in our clinics but for all Mississippians, because our priority is keeping the entire state healthy and safe. So please, download the app.”

Tyler Technologies worked closely with MSDH to develop the comprehensive health companion with the primary goal of creating a convenient and comprehensive mobile solution to safeguard the public’s well-being by keeping them informed and empowered.

MSDH expects several positive outcomes to result from the new app, including increased user engagement, improved access to services, enhanced public health awareness, better health outcomes, and a reduction in barriers to care.
