A Georgia woman is charged with trafficking a controlled substance after being arrested in Rankin County on Wednesday.

According to a release from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy pulled over 24-year-old Amely Dominguez for failing to travel in one lane on Interstate 20. During the traffic stop, the deputy became suspicious of criminal activity and received consent to search Dominguez’s vehicle.

Aftermarket modifications to the vehicle’s bumpers were noticed, and due to the inherent danger of continuing the search at the roadside, Dominguez and her vehicle were relocated to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department impound lot and maintenance facility. There, deputies conducted a further inspection and discovered 18 packages of suspected cocaine inside compartments located in the front and rear bumpers.
