A second Mississippi inmate is now on the run, according to law enforcement.
Myco Fort escaped from the Adams County Jail on Friday morning while serving as a trustee, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office. Fort, 22, was incarcerated on burglary charges. According to a report from the Natchez Democrat, Fort was mopping the building around 3:30 a.m. when breaking free through a back door.

In an unrelated case, a convicted murderer escaped from the Mississippi State Penitentiary on Tuesday and was captured Friday afternoon. Nevin Whetstone, 71, escaped from a housing unit for the second time since being sentenced to life in 1983. He first escaped in 1991 but was captured soon thereafter.
