The polls will be open in under a week with various runoffs, two of which are for state Senate, happening across Mississippi on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Secretary of State Michael Watson, whose office oversees elections, is encouraging all voters with races taking place in their areas to take the time beforehand to confirm where their polling locations are and make sure they’re educated on the candidates running. The My Election Day online tool is available to receive runoff election information tailored to specific addresses, including sample ballots.
While in-person absentee voting is open to eligible voters until Saturday at noon and mail-in ballots are being accepted if postmarked before or on Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 2.
