Woman arrested in Mississippi after police find 2 missing Alabama children

An Alabama woman has been arrested after police in Mississippi found two missing children.

On Tuesday, just after 1 p.m., Capitol Police received a tip regarding the location of two juveniles who were reported missing out of Alabama. Officers located the two children near Capitol and Farish Streets in downtown Jackson.

The two children were accompanied by an adult female who is reported to have had a foreign warrant out of Birmingham. Police took the unidentified female into custody with no further incident. She is awaiting extradition to Alabama.

According to officials, the two juveniles will be released into the custody of the Mississippi Department of Child Protective Services. No further information has been released at this time.
