Ole Miss and Mississippi State fans now know who their favorite team will play next season — and when.
In a special announcement show on Thursday night, the Southeastern Conference revealed who each of the 16 member institutions will be playing in the 2026-27 campaign. For the first time, the SEC is mandating that all of its members participate in nine games versus conference opponents, while also scheduling at least one game against a team from the Big Ten, Big 12, or ACC.
Here’s who the Rebels and Bulldogs will be taking on next year:
Ole Miss
Pete Golding will have his work cut out for him in his debut season as the head football coach at Ole Miss, though he will have the opportunity to get a feel for being a first-time frontman in the College Football Playoff. The 2026-27 season for the Rebels will feature a battle against ex-coach Lane Kiffin and his LSU Tigers, who are far from beloved in Oxford.
Ole Miss will rekindle a flame that used to be annual contests versus Vanderbilt and Auburn. Golding and company will travel to Oklahoma for the second consecutive year, before concluding the year against Mississippi State with the Egg Bow currently scheduled to happen on Saturday for the first time since 2016.
