Authorities are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was discovered deceased in a burned vehicle.
Hinds County She riff and interim Jackson Police Chief Tyree Jones reports that the incident occurred on Eddy Street on Monday night. First responders at the scene found an unidentified Black male who had been shot at least once in the head.
Jones said the fire is believed to have been set on the vehicle following the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact law enforcement.
