The Ole Miss women’s basketball team is postponing its home matchup against Tennessee due to the effects of Winter Storm Fern.
Ole Miss announced Sunday that Monday’s top-25 battle between the No. 18 Lady Rebels (17-4, 4-2 SEC) and the No. 17 Lady Volunteers (14-3, 6-0 SEC) will be rescheduled to a later date, one that has not yet been decided on. The update comes as inclement weather and heavy ice caused trees to fall, power lines to come down, and road conditions to become unsafe, prompting Mayor Robyn Tannehill to issue a shelter-in-place order on Sunday morning.
Due to inclement weather, the Tennessee at Ole Miss women’s basketball game scheduled for Monday, January 26, has been postponed. The game will be rescheduled for a date to be determined.
Rebel Nation, please stay safe and warm.

Ole Miss’ entire Oxford campus will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, as crews work to restore power and clear roadways of debris.
As for Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin’s team, Ole Miss followed up a rough loss at Georgia last weekend with a dominant win against Missouri on Thursday. At this time, no schedule changes have been announced for Thursday night’s matchup against Vanderbilt in the SJB Pavilion.
