The National Weather Service has confirmed that at least four tornadoes touched down in Mississippi over the weekend.

Each tornado was reported to be rated EF-1, with all four being recorded in the southern region of the state on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The first tornado was reported in Norfield on Saturday at 11:46 p.m. Its path spanned 6.79 miles. The second was reported on Sunday at 12:01 a.m. and trekked a 2.05-mile path. The third tornado was recorded in an unspecified area of Lincoln and Lawrence Counties on Sunday at 12:05 a.m. and was on the ground for 6.92 miles. The fourth was logged in Monticello on Sunday at 12:18 a.m. and traveled 4.04 miles.

At this time, no injuries were reported from the tornadoes. Officials say additional surveys are planned in Lawrence, Jefferson Davis, and Covington counties on Monday to assess possible tornadic paths.
