Widely considered one of the biggest bands in the world – with a rock record of 21 Billboard chart-toppers – Shinedown has announced plans for a new album and a new tour, one that includes a stop in Biloxi.

The alternative rock band known for hits like “Sound of Madness” and “Second Chance” will perform at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on June 2 as part of its Dance, Kid, Dance Act II World Tour. The band said in a press release that the tour will accompany its new album “EI8HT,” which is set for release on May 29.

“This album is over a year in the making. Without question, as a band, we pushed ourselves like never before,” lead vocalist Brent Smith said. “We are so excited to finally announce our eighth studio album titled EI8HT alongside our Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour.”

Joining Shinedown on the tour that will span 11 counties across 54 dates are Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes to New, DJ Rock Feed, and Those Damn Crows. For the Biloxi stop, all of the supporting acts except for From Ashes to New will be in attendance.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 20 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased here. Presale tickets have already opened to Citicard members.

Shinedown’s upcoming world tour adds to what has been a busy run for the group. 2025 was considered “one of the most dominant years of their career,” per Live Nation, and included the tour’s first act plus the release of four major songs: “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Killing Fields,” “Three Six Five,” and “Searchlight.” All four found spots on various charts with “Dance, Kid, Dance,” and “Killing Fields” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Rock chart.

Shinedown was also recently nominated for Rock Artist of the Year, Duo/Group of the Year, and Rock Song of the Year (“Dance, Kid, Dance”) ahead of next month’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. The multi-platinum band won both Rock Artist of the Year and Rock Song of the Year (“A Symptom of Being Human”) during last year’s edition of the awards.
