SuperTalk Mississippi Media announced Thursday the 14th Annual Radiothon benefiting Palmer Home for Children will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Listeners across the region are invited to tune in to SuperTalk Mississippi on their radios or online from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to hear from individuals who have been directly impacted by Palmer Home’s mission, including children currently in care, alumni, staff, and supporters. Gripping interviews and heartwarming stories will be shared throughout SuperTalk Mississippi programs – Mornings with Richard Cross, MidDays with Gerard Gibert, Good Things with Rebecca Turner, and SportsTalk Mississippi.
“Our partnership with SuperTalk Mississippi represents the very best of Mississippi, neighbors stepping up for neighbors,” said Drake Bassett, President & CEO of Palmer Home for Children. “For 14 years, listeners across the state have helped children at Palmer Home have consistent care and the resources they need to thrive. We invite every listener to tune in, be inspired, and join us in providing hope and a future for our children”
In 2013, SuperTalk Mississippi Media declared Palmer Home for Children as the network’s charity of choice and established the annual radiothon to support the basic operational needs of the organization. Since its inception, the annual event has raised over $3 million for the children at Palmer Home. Last year’s event alone raised more than $336,000 for the Mississippi-based nonprofit.
“For more than a decade, and as we now launch our 14th annual Radiothon, our partnership with Palmer Home for Children has helped to change and impact the lives of children and young adults,” said Kim Dillon, President and CEO of SuperTalk Mississippi Media. “We are honored to once again partner with Palmer Home as our charity of choice and are proud of the difference that each donation will make to restore and strengthen children as they transition from difficult situations. For more than 130 years, this faith-based nonprofit has accepted zero federal or state dollars and depends solely on private donations. Each year, we are humbled by the generosity of our listeners and fellow Mississippians. We continue to see firsthand that hope truly does grow at Palmer Home.”
