A Mississippi lottery player has struck it rich, winning $1 million on a scratch-off ticket.
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced Wednesday that for the first time since the $30 Millionaire Maker game was made available, a millionaire has been made.
The winning ticket was purchased by a Pearl resident at Gas & Grub in Florence. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous, which is permitted for all prize recipients.
Millionaire Maker debuted in January and has quickly gained traction among players. The game is “designed to deliver high-value prizes and sustained excitement,” according to the MLC. It features instant bonuses ranging from $50 to $5,000 and offers 10 top prizes of $1 million – one of which has now been claimed, leaving nine still available.
