The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation announced that an arrest has been made after a person was found dead on the side of the road in Lexington, although most details remain under wraps.
Octavious Small, 22, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the weekend shooting that happened on MS-17. When law enforcement arrived, they found one individual deceased.
Neither the name of the deceased nor a motive has been released.
Small is charged with murder, drive-by shooting, and shooting into a motor vehicle.
“This remains an open investigation; no further comment will be made,” MBI said in a statement.
