A man is dead after being struck by an Amtrak train along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Biloxi police said the unidentified victim was walking along the tracks at Rodenberg Avenue on Wednesday morning when he was hit by the train. The train, per officials, was headed westbound, and the incident caused a 30-minute travel delay.
The man’s passing marks the fourth train-related death in Mississippi since Amtrak kicked off its Mardi Gras service route between New Orleans and Mobile, Ala., in August 2025.
In late September, two people were killed in a collision in Pass Christian. Less than two months later, a man was ejected from his vehicle and died after being hit by a train in Gautier.
The Biloxi incident remains under investigation.
