Mississippians can indulge in a guilty pleasure without feeling any guilt.
Popular dessert-centered fast food restaurant Dairy Queen is offering free ice cream all day March 19. The “Free Cone Day” promotion applies to a small cone of vanilla ice cream.
In the Mississippi, consumers will have the option of adding layer of coated chocolate, making it a “dipped cone,” for an extra $1 with proceeds going to Children’s of Mississippi.
“Helping kids has never been so sweet! You can enjoy a FREE cone at participating Dairy Queen locations. Get it dipped, and $1 will be donated to support your local children’s hospital,” a release from the state’s only children’s hospital reads. “Every dollar donated helps kids get the care they need to thrive!”
The Mississippi promotion applies to participating Dairy Queen locations in Ridgeland, Pearl, Flowood, Brandon, Jackson, Richland, Meridian, Natchez, Brookhaven, and Hattiesburg.
With warmer temperatures approaching, Dairy Queen is offering customers a celebratory sweet treat that they can enjoy at the most affordable rate possible.
“There are no strings attached — just pure, frozen fun. It’s the perfect excuse to grab your bestie, surprise the kids or simply treat yourself,” a promotional statement from Dairy Queen reads. “However you choose to celebrate, Free Cone Day is all about savoring a moment of simple happiness.”
