A pair of Grammy-winning groups are joining forces on a new tour, one that will include a stop in Mississippi this September.

Salt-N-Pepa and TLC announced their It’s Iconic Tour on Monday. The tour will include 34 stops across 22 states and Canada, with the lone Mississippi performance set for Sept. 27 at the Brandon Amphitheater. Presale tickets begin Tuesday, March 24, before the general sale opens Thursday, March 26, at 10 a.m.

Salt-N-Pepa, a New York-based hip-hop duo, consists of Cheryl James (Salt), Sandra Denton (Pepa). Widely regarded as one of the first all-female rap groups to achieve mainstream success, Salt-N-Pepa is known for hits like “Push It” and “Shoot.” The group has been nominated for five Grammys, including one win.

TLC was founded in Atlanta and features members Tionne Watkins (T-Boz) and Rozonda Thomas (Chilli). Original member Lisa Lopes (Left Eye) died in 2002, but the group has continued performing. Like Salt-N-Pepa, TLC is credited with breaking barriers for female artists, releasing hits such as “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs.” The group has been nominated for 12 Grammys, including four wins.

Joining Salt-N-Pepa and TLC on the It’s Iconic Tour will be special guest En Vogue, an acclaimed R&B group from Oakland, California, known for hits like “Hold On” and “Free Your Mind.”
