The Biloxi High School boys’ basketball program has named its fourth head coach in 57 years, promoting from within to replace longtime leader Seber Windham.

Biloxi announced Monday it was elevating assistant coach Randy McCrory to head coach, succeeding Windham, the program’s all-time winningest coach.

Windham leaves after 20 seasons with 484 wins, 12 district titles, eight MHSAA semifinal appearances, and a 2009 MHSAA 6A state championship title. He was inducted into the Biloxi Sports Hall of Fame in 2019.

McCrory has been part of the program for the past six years, serving as head ninth-grade coach and assistant varsity coach. During that time, the varsity Indians made three MHSAA semifinal appearances and won four district championships.

He was named an MHSAA District Coach of the Year in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

McCrory, a native of Ponchatoula, La., played college basketball at Southeaster Louisiana University and William Carey University.
