A pair of Mississippi State basketball players plan to pursue a new collegiate venture when the transfer portal opens next month.

Coming off a promising freshman campaign, forward Jamarion Davis-Fleming has announced plans to find a new landing spot. The Canton native logged 3.7 points and 4.8 rebounds while averaging 20 minutes of playing time per game. He was a part of a young tandem alongside fellow freshman King Grace in logging meaningful minutes for Chris Jans’ crew this year.

The other Bulldog to announce intentions to compete elsewhere is guard Dellquan Warren. The sophomore from Pennsylvania had a hard time seeing the floor, especially with standout guards Josh Hubbard and Jayden Epps in front of him. Warren recorded 1.2 points across an average of eight minutes per game.

While the two Mississippi State players have made it known that they’re looking to play for another school next season, they’re not officially in the portal. The 15-day transfer window officially opens on April 7 — one day after the national championship game — and closes on April 21.

Mississippi State finished a rough 2025-26 campaign on a low note, losing its last five regular-season matchups before getting beat by Auburn in the first round of the SEC Tournament. The Bulldogs did not make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in Jans’ four-year tenure with the program.
