A Mississippi inmate’s death is under investigation.
Jailers at the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility reportedly discovered Charles Reed, 59, unresponsive in his cell on Tuesday. He was later pronounced deceased by medical staff at the prison.
Per the Mississippi Department of Corrections’ records, Reed was serving a life sentence behind bars for rape.
No foul play is suspected in his death at this time, but an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of Reed’s passing.
