We’re 151 days from Ole Miss kicking off its highly anticipated 2026-27 football season, and fans can now plan where they will be sitting during the team’s opening game.
Tickets are available for the Music City Kickoff between Ole Miss and Louisville with the matchup set to take place in Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 6. It won’t be the first time the two teams squared off to open the season. In 2021, Ole Miss defeated the Cardinals 43-34 in Atlanta. A rematch is now on the horizon, though both programs are under different management than they were five years ago.
For Ole Miss, the Rebels will begin year one of the Pete Golding era after a successful trial run with him leading the charge in the team’s first-ever College Football Playoff run. Golding, with a rounded-out staff rife with former Ole Miss players and Mississippi natives, will have the backing of a star-studded returning cast featuring quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, running back Kewan Lacy, and linebacker Suntarine Perkins, among others, when the campaign begins in just under five months.
For Louisville, head coach Jeff Brohm is going into his fourth season of leading his alma mater. Brohm has compiled a 28-12 record in his three years at the helm and has won nine games or more in each of his campaigns with the Cardinals. He is also responsible for developing now-New Orleans Saints signal caller Tyler Shough at the collegiate ranks.
