Players from Mississippi schools sign free agent deals following NFL Draft

The 2026 NFL Draft has wrapped up with four players from Mississippi schools selected by NFL franchises. Others who were hoping to hear their names called instead signed with various teams after the seven-round draft concluded.

Those from in-state schools who heard their names called were Ole Miss wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling (San Francisco 49ers – second round), Mississippi State wide receiver Brenen Thompson (Los Angeles Chargers – fourth round), Mississippi State tight end Seydou Traore (Miami Dolphins – fifth round), and Ole Miss offensive tackle Jayden Williams (Arizona Cardinals – seventh round).

Beyond the draft, a long list of players from Mississippi schools will get shots to compete for roster spots through undrafted free agent deals or rookie minicamp invites. Keep up with them all below.
