13 adults and five juveniles accused of vandalizing North Panola High School are facing charges.
Early Tuesday morning, the Panola County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the school in Sardis. Upon arrival, law enforcement reported finding the school to be “severely damaged” throughout much of the building.
“Multiple fire extinguishers had been discharged, classrooms were destroyed, and the principal’s office was broken into and damaged,” a portion of a release from the sheriff’s office reads.
Investigators spent much of Tuesday gathering evidence and investigating suspects. 18 people were ultimately arrested on charges of trespassing and burglary. 13 of those handcuffed were adults, while five were under the age of 18. The adults charged in connections with the case include:
- Jamarion Armstrong, 18

The adult suspects were booked into the Panola County Detention Center, while the juvenile suspects were released into the custody of their parents or guardians and will be adjudicated through the youth court system.
