Gulfport woman arrested for allegedly stabbing special needs son

A Gulfport woman is behind bars after being accused of stabbing her special needs son in the head, according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

Dianne Feazell, 62, was arrested Thursday and charged felony domestic violence aggravated assault following a reported stabbing at a home on Steeplechase Drive in Gulfport.

According to Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley, deputies responded to the home after receiving a report of a stabbing. Investigators determined that Feazell allegedly slashed the side of her son’s head with a knife.

The child, who lives at the home with Feazell and his father, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been listed in stable condition.

Feazell was booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. She is being held on a $1 million bond set by Justice Court Judge Theressia Lyons.

The case remains under investigation.
