Madalyn Sullivan finished as first-runner up in the Miss America’s Teen competition Saturday night in Palm Beach, Fla.
Sullivan, Miss Mississippi’s Teen, competed in a week’s worth of events leading up to the finals, including interviews, a talent portion, preliminary competitions, and appearances. The finals were held at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts Center, where Miss Utah’s Teen Elle Anderson was crowned Miss America’s Teen 2027.
The top five finishers were:
- Elle Anderson, Miss Utah’s Teen
- Madalyn Sullivan, Miss Mississippi’s Teen
- Logan Wells, Miss South Carolina’s Teen
- Zoe Zogleman, Miss Texas’ Teen
- Natalia Yurecko, Miss Minnesota’s Teen
Sullivan, an Oxford native, earned a $9,000 scholarship for her overall finish. She also won a $1,500 scholarship after taking first place in the Evening Wear Preliminary competition earlier in the week.
When she’s not on the pageant stage, Sullivan is an Oxford High School student. She is a member of the dance team, runs cross country, sings in the choir, and participates in the theater program.
Sullivan is the founder of Millie’s Mission, an initiative inspired by her sister that promotes autism acceptance. She also co-authored a children’s book, “Meet Millie,” which has been donated to public libraries in all 82 Mississippi counties.
