Mystical sea creatures will make their way to Mississippi Aquarium to entertain the public.
Officials with the aquarium in Gulfport announced that mermaids will be on site for two weekends of dive performances, meet-and-greets, and family-friendly activities. From Sept. 25-27 and Oct. 2-4, guests can experience mermaid dive performances in Aquatic Wonders and meet the mermaids in Changing Tides, all included with general admission.
Among the featured activities is “Tail Memory Match,” where guests can test their memory by matching the tails of rare and endangered animals. “Mermaid’s Purse” invites guests to explore what a mermaid might carry while learning about environmentally friendly choices.
From Sept. 25-Oct.4, guests can also experience a limited-time mermaid virtual reality offering visitors another way to explore the underwater world during their visit.
Pelican Pointe Café will offer limited-time mermaid-themed foods available for purchase, including Clam Shell Cookies, Mermaid Wands, Mermaid Pudding Cups, and many more mermaid-themed snacks.
