The Panola County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Kentavious Doyle, 17, was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon. The fatal gunfire reportedly rang out at the Jimmy Jones Trailer Park on Highway 51 in Como. Doyle was a student and basketball player at Independence High School.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of IHS student and Varsity Boys basketball player Kentavious Doyle. The teachers and coaches who knew Kentavious best have commented how sweet, respectful, and playful he was,” an official statement from Independence High School reads.
“He had a one-of-a-kind personality that was sure to put a smile on your face. His physical presence will be missed, but his spirit and personality will always be cherished in our classrooms, hallways, and locker rooms.”
