Country music superstar Ella Langley will perform at Ole Miss on Thursday night to kick off what’s expected to be a hectic weekend in the college town, with a highly anticipated Saturday football game between the Rebels and LSU on the horizon.
Best known for her hit song “Choosin’Texas,” Langley will take the main stage at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion, where Ole Miss plays men’s and women’s basketball games, with the show starting at 7 p.m.
Langley has taken the world by storm in recent years, drawing fans from all over the world, including famous German soccer fan “Freddy,” who has been in the American spotlight for sharing his first experiences in the United States during the World Cup.
Despite being a relatively new artist, Langley has risen to icon status for country music fans, with her debut album “hungover” released in 2024. Her popularity has only continued to climb with her growing publicity and the release of her award-winning 2025 single “Choosin’ Texas,” which won the Academy of Country Music’s Song and Single of the Year last month.
Langley’s performance in Oxford won’t be her first in the Magnolia State – as she’s already had six in Mississippi. Her most recent showing was in Starkville at Rick’s Cafe on Halloween of 2025 as part of her “still hungover tour,” which showcased the deluxe version of her debut album. Tickets went on sale for nearly $100, and the concert was sold out in less than 24 hours.
