Morgan Freeman will be College GameDay’s celebrity guest picker during the show’s live airing in Oxford.

Freeman, the iconic Mississippi actor known for a multitude of roles in some of the world’s most noteworthy films, will join the show’s panelists to discuss Saturday’s college football slate, including the highly anticipated top-10 matchup between No. 8 Ole Miss and No. 7 LSU.

The game has been the talk of the college sports world, with the masses seemingly eager to see how the Rebels fare against former head coach Lane Kiffin and his Tigers. Both teams enter the matchup at a perfect 2-0 in the early regular season.

College GameDay hosts include legendary former Alabama coach Nick Saban, veteran TV sports journalist Rece Davis, longtime football broadcaster Kirk Herbstreit, Heisman-winning former Michigan wide receiver Desmond Howard, and the entertaining Pat McAfee. Freeman, who was famously the voice of God in “Bruce Almighty” and “Evan Almighty,” will join the group in the Grove on the Ole Miss campus.

The show will air on Saturday from 8-11 a.m. CT and can be watched on ESPN. This will be College GameDay’s third stop in Oxford. Ole Miss hosted the show ahead of a matchup against Alabama on Oct. 4, 2014, and again on Nov. 13, 2021.

It’s worth mentioning that the Rebels are undefeated in games where the show was on campus. It’s also worth mentioning that Kiffin was the offensive coordinator at Alabama when Ole Miss defeated the Crimson Tide in 2014.
