Mississippi State has scheduled a home-and-home football series against nonconference foe Oklahoma State.

The Bulldogs and Cowboys will face off in 2030 and 2031. Game one of the series will be in Oklahoma State’s Boone Pickens Stadium on Sept. 7, 2030, with game two occurring at Mississippi State’s Davis Wade Stadium on Sept. 6, 2031.

Oklahoma State holds the lead in the all-time head-to-head series, 3-2. The two teams first met in 1970 in Jackson with the Bulldogs winning 14-13. The Cowboys won two in Stillwater in 1971 and 1998 before coming to Starkville in 1999, when the Bulldogs earned a win on their home field. Oklahoma State won a 2013 matchup on a neutral field in Houston.

The nonconference series was scheduled after the SEC adopted a new rule requiring members to play nine conference games and one matchup against a nonconference opponent from a Power Four conference. Oklahoma State, a member of the Big 12, fits the criteria for the latter requirement for Mississippi State.
