The Mississippi State football team is coming off a much-needed bye week after star quarterback Kamario Taylor and running back Fluff Bothwell sustained injuries in the Bulldogs’ 56-23 loss to Alabama on Oct. 3.
Now, No. 16 Mississippi State (4-1, 2-1 SEC) is looking to bounce back in a big way as they head to face the No. 22 LSU (4-2, 1-2 SEC) in Baton Rouge. However, question marks remain around the Mississippi State squad after Wednesday’s injury report listed both Taylor and Bothwell as questionable. Similarly, the Tigers are looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss of their own, as Lane Kiffin’s team dropped an overtime game at Kentucky, 35-34.
