Lines of people are already beginning to form in Corinth ahead of President Donald Trump’s Mississippi stump as part of his midterm blitz.
As Trump works to drum up more support for Republicans nationwide ahead of the Nov. 3 election, he will take the stage Monday night in the Magnolia State. The commander-in-chief is expected to have high praise for all GOP candidates with an emphasis on U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith as she faces viable Democratic opponent Scott Colom.
Here’s what to know about Trump’s rally in Mississippi.
When and where is Trump’s rally?
The Republican president will host his rally in Corinth at the Crossroads Arena on Monday, Oct. 26. The arena is located at 2800 S. Harper Road and seats more than 7,700.
Doors open to the public at 2:30 p.m., though long lines are already outside after they began to form before sunrise. The program’s official start time is 4:30 p.m., but Trump isn’t expected to speak until 6 p.m.
Who all is Trump campaigning for?
Trump will speak on behalf of multiple Republican candidates up for election or reelection on Nov. 3, chief among them being Hyde-Smith as she seeks a second full term in the U.S. Senate.
The president will also encourage Mississippians to vote for U.S. Reps. Trent Kelly (District 1), Michael Guest (District 3), and Mike Ezell (District 4), along with District 2 hopeful Ron Eller, who is running against Democrat incumbent Rep. Bennie Thompson.
Are tickets still available?
As of Monday morning, limited seating remained. Anyone who wants to see the president live can do so free of charge. The catch is you must secure them online ahead of time.
