Incumbents recorded a clean sweep in Mississippi’s U.S. House of Representatives races, with all four sitting congressmen winning convincingly to maintain their posts.

Both Districts 2 and 4 were called by the Associated Press by 8:50 p.m. Longtime Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson was beating Republican challenger Ron Eller, a physician assistant in Jackson, by 33 points when the race was called, earning his 18th term in Washington.

Incumbent Republican Rep. Mike Ezell’s win wasn’t quite as dominant, though it was still convincing. Ezell, a former Jackson County sheriff, was beating Army veteran and Democratic state Rep. Jeffrey Hulum III by 18 points when the race was called.

Roughly 20 minutes later, around 9 p.m., incumbent Republican Rep. Trent Kelly reclaimed his spot in District 1 with a 29-point lead over civil rights attorney and University of Mississippi School of Law professor Cliff Johnson. Kelly notably on pace to win Lafayette County, where Johnson lives and teaches.

Incumbent Republican Rep. Michael Guest’s win in District 2 was called by 9:20 p.m. Guest was ousting Democratic challenger and regenerative farmer Michael Chiaradio by just under 20 points when the race was called.
