A Mississippian has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts was the latest to receive a Walk of Fame Star in Hollywood. Alongside Roberts, her fellow “GMA” anchor, George Stephanopoulos, shared the honor.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Walk of Fame Producer Ana Martinez said. “They have become trusted voices in American journalism, connecting with audiences through their integrity, compassion, and commitment to storytelling.
“It is a privilege to honor these two extraordinary talents with a double star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, celebrating their remarkable contributions to broadcasting and the lasting impact they have made on viewers across the country.”
Roberts and her family moved to Pass Christian when she was 8 years old. She attended Pass Christian High School, where she graduated as salutatorian in 1979.
