Mississippi State has altered its schedule for Saturday’s men’s basketball game due to expected inclement conditions in the Starkville area this weekend.
Instead of tipping off at 5 p.m. CT, the upcoming matchup against No. 15 Vanderbilt will begin at 11 a.m. with doors to Humphrey Coliseum opening at 10 a.m. According to university officials, admission to the game will be free. Fans who purchased single-game tickets will receive a refund. Season ticket holders will continue to have access to their assigned seats, and student seating will remain available for the game.
“Individuals should consider local conditions when deciding whether to attend. Those who do travel are encouraged to use caution, allow extra time, and be mindful of bridges, stairs, and sidewalks during icy conditions,” a release from the university reads. “For those who choose to attend, Mississippi State Athletics will have standard event operations in place inside Humphrey Coliseum. Parking areas around Humphrey Coliseum will be open and available.”
Chris Jans and company will look to get back in the win column after dropping its last four games. The Bulldogs most recently fell to Texas A&M 88-68 in College Station on Wednesday night.
Saturday’s game, originally scheduled to air on the SEC Network, will now be streamed on SEC Network+, along with participating SuperTalk Mississippi stations.
