Nationally recognized food personality and bestselling author Elizabeth Heiskell will keynote this year’s Sanderson Farms Championship, announced by tournament officials on Tuesday.
Heiskell, a native of the Mississippi Delta, is often referred to as the “Debutante Farmer” bringing laughs and layered cakes to publications and TV shows across the country. She’s the founder of Elizabeth Heiskell Catering, a hospitality company based in Oxford, and is often spotted on the set of NBC’s TODAY Show.
Books penned by Heiskell include The Southern Living Party Cookbook, What Can I Bring?, and Come On Over!, among others. Her story just isn’t inside those cookbooks, though, as she also has a personal testimony of overcoming breast cancer in large part due to early detection.
Heiskell will share that testimony, her journey from smalltown Cleveland to the national scene, as well as tips on entrepreneurship with attendees of the Sanderson Farms Championship’s 11th annual Women’s Day luncheon.
The event, sponsored by International Paper, will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Country Club of Jackson and help open the state’s lone PGA event. Tickets are $250 for individuals and $1,800 per table of eight.
We’re excited to welcome Elizabeth Heiskell as the featured speaker for the 11th Annual Women’s Day at the Sanderson Farms Championship, presented by International Paper! Join us Sept 30 for an afternoon of food, fun, and inspiration. 💐 #SFChamp #WomensDay2025 pic.twitter.com/rvOyWmY4py
