A pair of Mississippi lottery players are on the verge of becoming millionaires – if they turn in their winning tickets.

According to the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, a $2 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Moss Point at the Pilot Travel Center and a $2 million Powerball ticket sold at Mikes Food & Gas in Goldwater remain unclaimed. The Mega Millions ticket matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball from the Aug. 26 drawing. On Aug. 17, the Powerball ticket with the Power Play add-on matched all five white balls but not the Powerball.

The tickets must be turned in at the Mississippi Lottery Corporation’s headquarters in Flowood.

As for the next chance for Mississippians to win big, the Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday night’s drawing has climbed to an estimated $600 million, holding an estimated cash value of $277.2 million.

The jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing is an estimated $273 million, holding an estimated cash value of $127.8 million. The Lotto America jackpot is at an estimated $4.81 million, with a cash value of $2.25 million, heading into Wednesday night’s drawing.

A local daily match game, the Mississippi Match 5, has an estimated $72,000 jackpot going into Wednesday night’s drawing.
