Biloxi High School has found its new head football coach, announcing the promotion Eric Collier from defensive coordinator on Wednesday afternoon.
Collier, a longtime high school coach who has also spent time on the Division I FBS level, has spent the past two seasons on Jamey DuBose’s staff at Biloxi. During that time, the Indians have made it to consecutive MHSAA 6A playoffs, although their overall record has totaled out at 8-14. DuBose resigned from his position last month and accepted the head coaching gig at Bainbridge High School in Georgia.
Before Collier’s hiring in 2024, he spent one season as an assistant at the University of South Alabama. He had previously spent 19 seasons, 14 of which were as head coach, on the prep level in Alabama. His overall record as a head coach 81-71.

Collier’s best season to date came in 2022 while at Theodore High School. The Bobcats went 13-1 that season with their lone loss coming in the AHSAA 6A semifinals.
In February 2025, Collier briefly accepted the head coaching position at George County High School, but three weeks later, returned to Biloxi.
