Dense fog will be prevalent in much of Mississippi on Christmas Eve morning before the skies clear up for the rest of the day. Here’s your statewide forecast from the National Weather Service.
Northern Mississippi
Once the fog dissipates, there may be some clouds with the sunshine eventually coming out. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s before lows drop into the upper 50s come nighttime.
Central Mississippi
Sunshine is expected throughout the later part of the morning and through the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s before lows drop into the mid to upper 50s at night.
Southern Mississippi
It will be mostly cloudy in the morning before clearing up with some sunshine expected. Highs will be in the upper 70s before lows drop into the mid 50s at night.
